The Institute of Latino Art (ILA) invites you to its Grand Opening in Pomona on June 13.<\/h3>\n

Opening Exhibition:
\nReclamation: Art in Contested Spaces<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Featuring works by NSRGNTS Collective<\/a>, Rub\u00e9n Ortiz-Torres<\/a>, LaPiztola<\/a>, and Gustavo Martinez<\/a><\/strong>, the exhibition examines how public space, memory, identity, and cultural histories are continually contested, erased, reclaimed, and reimagined. Through mural-scale paintings, installation, printmaking, photography, and projections of erased murals, the artists engage questions of displacement, resistance, migration, gentrification, and the ongoing struggle over who is visible within the built environment.<\/p>\n

This event marks the official launch of ILA\u2019s public programming and its vision as a new cultural institution dedicated to creating cultural permanence through exhibitions, workshops, and public programs.<\/p>\n

Guests are invited to experience the exhibitions, meet participating artists and collaborators, and engage with the vision behind ILA as a new cultural institution in Los Angeles County serving the greater Pomona region.<\/p>\n

Con obras de NSRGNTS Collective<\/a>, Rub\u00e9n Ortiz-Torres,<\/a> LaPiztola<\/a> y Gustavo Martinez<\/a><\/strong>, la exposici\u00f3n examina c\u00f3mo el espacio p\u00fablico, la memoria, la identidad y las historias culturales son continuamente disputadas, borradas, reclamadas y reimaginadas. A trav\u00e9s de pinturas de escala mural, instalaci\u00f3n, gr\u00e1fica, fotograf\u00eda y proyecciones de murales borrados, los artistas abordan temas de desplazamiento, resistencia, migraci\u00f3n, gentrificaci\u00f3n y la lucha constante sobre qui\u00e9n tiene visibilidad dentro del entorno construido.<\/p>\n

Este evento marca el lanzamiento oficial de la programaci\u00f3n p\u00fablica de ILA y su visi\u00f3n como una nueva instituci\u00f3n cultural dedicada a crear permanencia cultural a trav\u00e9s de exposiciones, talleres y programas p\u00fablicos.<\/p>\n

Les invitamos a recorrer las exposiciones, conocer a los artistas y colaboradores participantes, y formar parte de la visi\u00f3n detr\u00e1s de ILA como una nueva instituci\u00f3n cultural en el Condado de Los \u00c1ngeles al servicio de la regi\u00f3n de Pomona.<\/p>\n
